2023-12-06:

Message to League Representatives:
There will be an Esquimalt Curling Club Board Meeting Tuesday December 12, 2023 in the curling lounge at 7:00pm. If you have not received an Agenda, please email our Board Secretary. If you cannot make the meeting please send a representative from your League.

2023-11-27:

Below are the list of practice ice times for Esquimalt Curling Club Members

     Sunday – none
     Monday – 2-3pm
     Tuesday – 2-3pm
     Wednesday – 12-2pm
     Thursday – 12-3pm
     Friday – 2-3pm
     Saturday – 12-2pm

There will be a clipboard hanging in the arena starting next week. Curlers will need to sign in whenever they are using the practice ice.

Reception will monitor the list weekly to be sure there are sheets available.

2023-10-21:

The Provincial Men's, Women's and Wheelchair Championships are being held Jan 23 - 28, 2024 at the Archie Browning Arena

The event is being co-hosted by the Esquimalt and Victoria Curling Clubs. Volunteers are needed in order to make this event a success.

If you are interested in volunteering, please use the link below to sign up (you can select an area that interests you).  Note: the 'School Program' is helping on ice in the curling rink with the  school kids who are coming for an hour lesson and then going to watch the games in the arena. (Jan 24 - 26 mornings).

In conjunction with the Provincials, Curl BC is offering some training sessions for individuals interested in volunteering for officiating roles.  Here are the details:

Time Clock Operator/On-Ice Observer

  • November 18th, 10:00am- 2:00pm
  • Individuals will learn how to use the competition time clocks and about the role of an on ice observer.
  • This was session was previously called Level 1. 
  • Time Clock Operator/Observer Training

Game Umpire

  • November 19th, 10:00am - 2:00pm
  • Individuals will learn about the various roles of being a Game Umpire during a BC Championship.
  • This session was previously called Level 2. 
  • Game Umpire Training

     

    Individuals who previously took the Level 1 or Level 2 courses are welcome to attend.
