2026 BC Curling Championships — Event Wrap-Up

The 2026 BC Men’s and Women’s Curling Championships have wrapped up after an exciting week of competition at the Archie Browning Sports Centre in Esquimalt. From December 30, 2025, to January 4, 2026, 8 women’s teams and 12 men’s teams from across British Columbia showcased outstanding skill, sportsmanship, and competitive spirit.

Men’s Champions

Team Tanaka defeated Team Montgomery in the men’s final to claim the provincial title.

• Second: Mitchell Kopytk
• Lead: Coburn Fadden
• Club: Kamloops / Richmond

Team Tanaka will proudly represent British Columbia at the 2026 Tim Hortons Brier, taking place in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, from February 27 to March 8, 2026.

Women’s Champions

Team Reese-Hansen emerged victorious over Team Brown in the women’s final.

• Skip: Taylor Reese-Hansen
• Vice: Megan McGillivray
• Second: Kim Bonneau
• Lead: Julianna MacKenzie
• Coach: Todd Troyer
• Club: Victoria Curling Club

Team Reese-Hansen will go on to represent BC at the 2026 Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Mississauga, Ontario, from January 23 to February 1, 2026.

The BC Curling Provincials (Men's, Women's & U20) are happening in Esquimalt at the Archie Browning Arena from December 30, 2025, to January 4, 2026, featuring top teams competing for B.C. titles and spots in national events like the Brier and Scotties, with tickets available now.
