Ice Maker Alex Horvath is Returning to the Brier!

The four-man team of Cameron de Jong, Alex Horvath, Corey Chester, Brayden Carpenter and Paul Cseke, based out of the Victoria Curling Club, will represent BC at this year's Montana's Brier after winning the BC Men's Curling Championships held in Langley, BC over the weekend.

You will have seen Alex Horvath around the Esquimalt Curling Club as he has been working with Al Sutherland to perform ice maintenance.

In 2019, Tardi and Middleton added Alex Horvath to the team and won the provincial junior title. At the 2019 Canadian Junior Curling Championships, they won the national championship and went on to win the 2019 World Junior Curling Championships.

Team Gauthier went on to represent Team BC at the 2023 Tim Horton’s Brier in London, ON from March 3-12, 2023 with a 3-5 record.

Team Schneider went on to represent Team BC at the 2024 Tim Horton’s Brier in Regina, SK from March 1-10, 2023 with a 4-4 record.

The 2025 Montana's Brier, Canada's national men's curling championship, will be held from February 28 to March 9 at Prospera Place in Kelowna, British Columbia. The winning team will represent Canada at the 2025 World Men's Curling Championship at the Moose Jaw Events Centre in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan.

Congratulations Alex! We all wish you the best in Kelowna.
